Prince Edward County Collaboration
Originally constructed in 1879 The Royal Hotel Picton has been reimagined by a local Prince Edward County family and reopened in December 2021. The sleek and modern interior, the farm to table ethos, and the quiet luxury of the private terrace and pool make this the place to eat, drink and be wed. The Royal Collab is a modern, design-forward, thoughtfully-detailed collaboration focused on quiet luxury by elevated wedding professionals from Prince Edward County and beyond.
The bridal preparations took place in the Cortland Suite in the Main Building . This airy, light-filled room had plenty of space for the stylists and attendants to enjoy the morning festivities. The Bride’s modern, chic hair and makeup look were created by Alex at Freebird Beauty Co and Jenna from Jenna Makeup. The bride is wearing a Loversland original gown and A.B Ellie veil, with gorgeous Maison Bedard bridal mules. Custom reworked vintage jewelry from Anice in the County set off the whole look. The grooms’ preparations took place in the Bartlett Suite, located in The Royal’s Annex building. This Scandinavian-inspired space has plenty of natural light and inspiring textures. The groom’s custom tux is from Made By Mr Cavaliere. Made By Mr. Cavaliere is a Toronto-based, made-to-measure tailoring brand with an Italian sensibility. This navy tux jacket and black bow tie were the perfect complement to the design-forward space.
A full buyout wedding at The Royal Hotel includes a luxurious ceremony in the main dining space, the show-stopping architectural details are a perfect base for your ceremony vision. For this collaboration, Marilou from Early Grey Fleurs designed wild, overflowing floral arrangements to anchor the ceremony space. A second ceremony option for more intimate weddings and elopements is The Royal’s library space. Tucked into a quiet corner of the main floor, the library has gorgeous natural light and a dark wooden fireplace accent wall to anchor the ceremony space. With cocktails in the Parlour, or as weather allows, on the patio, the dining room can be converted to your gorgeous reception space. Plenty of flickering candles and table florals accentuate the cozy feel of this reception space.
A quick sunset portrait session on the private second floor terrace, back patio, or even running through the hallway to the famous Royal elevator gives you a moment to reconnect with your love amidst the rollercoaster of the wedding day.
