Villa il Pozzo Wedding, Certaldo, Tuscany
Brittany & Freddy's Tuscan Wedding
This American couple envisioned a long weekend in the Tuscan countryside with their closest loved ones to celebrate their families coming together. They prioritized time to really connect with their people during their intimate Tuscan villa wedding. To bring their vision to life, they collaborated with their local planner, Sara Barni, from Floé Weddings and their venue, Villa il Pozzo, in Certaldo, Italy. Together, they created an elegant aesthetic that felt like a natural extension of the luxurious villa and rolling Tuscan hills. It was completed with traditional Italian touches like a live Tiramisu demonstration and bottles of the Villa’s in-house wine. To set the scene for their Italian nuptials, the couple hosted a pizza party in lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner.
Villa il Pozzo is an all inclusive wedding venue, offering room for 30 people to stay on-site with exclusive use of the entire property. The bridal party spent the morning relaxing and getting ready in the Suite Bellavista while the groom and his attendants spent the morning in the Suite Terrazza.
Villa il Pozzo is conveniently located only 15 minutes away from the Medieval City of Certaldo Alto. The wedding party hired a driver to take them to Certaldo Alto for a midday explore and portrait session. The historical architecture of Certaldo Alto and the many narrow laneways made for a perfect backdrop for wedding party portraits.
The wedding guests gathered on the lawn of Villa il Pozzo for the late afternoon wedding ceremony. The couple chose to buck tradition in style, with bride walking herself down the aisle. She was stunning in her fitted mermaid dress and luxurious veil. The couple's good friend officiated the ceremony featuring a ring warming and personal vows. The couple (and every single guest) was in tears throughout the ceremony as they shared their hearts so openly.
With a bar and hors d'oeuvres station down by the pool, the wedding party and guests shared drinks and food while enjoying the very best of Tuscany's weather. Cotton candy skies transitioned to a fiery sunset that was perfection for the bride and groom's sunset portrait session in the gardens overlooking the olive groves at Villa il Pozzo.
The wedding dinner was held under thousands of twinkling lights on the patio of Villa il Pozzo. The dinner was paired with Villa il Pozzo wines and followed by a live demonstration of the Villa il Pozzo chefs crafting an Italian wedding cake (Tiramisu). With a DJ and live saxophone the couple partied on the dancefloor erected on the lawn of Villa il Pozzo until the early hours.
