With laughter, love, and stunning details, this unforgettable celebration showcased the magic of true-to-color photography and heartfelt storytelling.
Eleven years of love culminated in a celebration for Q and R at The Cape in Prince Edward County! This fun-loving couple envisioned a wedding day that mirrored their personalities: a blend of sentimental moments, unexpected surprises, and of course, laughter. During our first conversation, Q, an Art Director, expressed a desire for true-to-color edits, candid and documentary-style photography, and a sprinkle of editorial portraits – all elements we adore capturing!
Q and R kicked off their Prince Edward County wedding weekend with a welcome dinner at Merrill House before retiring to their suites at The Cape. The Cape is well known for it’s stunning front entrance, arched doorways, and beautiful natural light flooding the suites – a dream Prince Edward County wedding location.
On the wedding morning, Q and her crew got ready in the Carey Grant King Suite, while R prepped in the Robbie Burns Room. Their first look unfolded in the Janis Joplin suite, before Q discreetly retreated upstairs for a bird's-eye view of guests arriving.
Q embraced two stunning looks throughout the day. For the first look and ceremony, she donned an elegant, sleeved gown paired with a flower crown. During the reception and dancing, she switched to a short dress featuring a pearl bodice and black gloves. Rohit complemented her style with a Liberty of London printed shirt and pocket square, alongside a custom navy three-piece suit.
Their ceremony, officiated by Brittany Shannon, took place in the Oscar Wilde Garden amidst their closest friends and family. Laughter and tears flowed freely during the beautiful ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour bathed in soft, golden sunlight. Guests enjoyed spritzers and savored oysters by Summerwinds Catering on The Cape's terrace – perfect weather for a perfect celebration.
Alexis Joy, known for her locally sourced, whimsical blooms, brought a vibrant splash of color to the reception with large centerpieces adorning each table. Guests reveled in playful conversation as they explored their tarot card place settings. This creative detail not only offered beautiful visuals but also provided a unique way for guests to connect.
As guests enjoyed the hearty meal prepared by Summerwinds Catering, Q and R stole away for a private moment just before sunset. Bathed in soft, golden light, they cherished a few quiet moments together – a truly perfect interlude.
Q & R extended their wedding theme to the dessert table with a stunning white vintage buttercream cake by Butter Dream Cakes. Delicate piped details adorned the cake, echoing the era and complementing The Cape's ambiance. It's a perfect example of how a classic buttercream cake, with on-trend styling, can elevate your celebration.
We were incredibly grateful to capture this beautiful celebration and extend our sincere appreciation to the entire team. We eagerly look forward to our next wedding at The Cape in Prince Edward County!

"These moments were so perfectly captured by you both. You guys are not only amazingly talented but also amazingly kind. We got your link and have been through the photos and they are SO beautiful and special!!! I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out they are just gorgeous. I started hearting them but then Rohit pointed out that I was hearting them all and of course I wanted to download a few and, same thing.
You guys have such a fantastic eye, the compositions are stunning. I just adore the photos of us through the arch of the doorway and the shot of my dad walking me down the aisle from above. The one where I’m hugging my brother with my parents in background is so perfect I teared up seeing it.
I could go on and on about how much I love the photos. These moments were so perfectly captured by you both. You guys are not only amazingly talented but also amazingly kind. I’ve said it before and I really do mean it, meeting you guys for our engagement shoot was such a pleasure that you reignited my energy for wedding planning when things were starting to feel too difficult. I am so grateful to you and all the fabulous people who helped make my special day the perfect day it was.
Thank you both so very much!"

Quincy
