Hendrick’s BBQ is a must-visit gem in Prince Edward County for barbecue lovers. Known for its smoky, melt-in-your-mouth meats and a menu brimming with Southern-inspired flavors, this spot delivers authentic BBQ with a modern twist. From tender brisket to perfectly smoked ribs, every dish is prepared with care. This little gem quickly became our favourite place to have lunch after morning shoots. The sampler platters are perfection for sharing and pairing this with a taster flight from Crimson Cider Company is literally a match made in heaven. Highly recommend.

A tried and tested favourite. You'll find us ordering the Eggs Benedict, or the Drake Burger with fancy fries. They cater to both small and large parties, in the dining room and on the patio. We love to sit in the windows overlooking the lake. Their coffee is decent, and their staff is lovely and helpful. This is a popular place for intimate weddings and elopements, bachelorette parties and celebrations of all shapes and sizes. The design aesthetic is top notch. For elopement inspiration check out Romantic Elopement at The Drake Devonshire.

Special mention goes out to Jamie Kennedy Fries, this is the hidden gem of the Prince Edward County food scene. We stumbled upon J.K. Fries after a beautiful morning at North Beach Provincial Park. We were very hungry and not looking forward to the drive back into Belleville so we took a chance and popped out to the J.K. Farm as it opened at 11 AM. Luckily it was empty (and it's all outdoors so no pandemic problems) and the food was incredible. I am happy to report that we returned to J.K. Fries several times, pretty much any time anyone came to visit us, and it was equally delicious at each visit. He offers fries, poutine, and seasonal beverages. The rhubarb spritz was perfection. J.K. Fries is closed for the winter season but reopens in May.
